Description

Improv III: Commitment to Craft

Six Week Class | 16 Students Maximum | Adults Only (18+)

***Promotional code from previous instructor or Artistic Director needed for class registration.***

Leela believes improvisors are artists and must train as such. This class provides you with a 6-week crash course on craft. Focusing on the main building blocks of scenework, you will learn to rely on your senses (rather than "thinking") to create detailed space object environments, specific and interesting characters, and skills to develop believable scenes onstage. Armed with these tools, you’ll step into the role of Improvisor with heightened awareness and confidence.

Prerequisite: Improv II: Authentic Relationships or instructor approval.

Instructor: Doug Kassel

Day/Time: Wednesays, from 7:00pm – 10:00pm

Dates: 1/11, 1/18, 1/25, 2/1, 2/8, 2/15

Location: Leela Improv Training Center, 901 Mission Street, 3rd Floor San Francisco

***The class is located only one block from the Powell MUNI/BART station.***

Class Instructions: Meet inside the Chronicle Building at the 901 Mission entrance at 6:55pm. There will be someone to greet you and direct you upstairs to the classroom.
