This 8-week introduction to improvisation skills is designed for mental health professionals, professional life coaches, and clergy, or others in helping positions to explore how the skills of improvisation apply to:
--fostering awareness and therefore reduction of anxiety;
--increased confidence and self-esteem;
--improved trust in and collaboration with others; and,
--increased goal-attainment through reduction of performance and social anxiety.
In addition to the benefits above, therapists and other helpers will engage in reflective discussions at the end of each class for 30 minutes exploring how these skills and observations can be transferred to patients through clinical work and will have greater skills of self-observation in order to promote the therapist's growth and learning of news ways to be and to work with patients.
