This 8-week Intermediate/Advanced level improvisation course is designed for mental health professionals, professional life coaches, and clergy, or others who have completed Improv for Therapists: Level 1, or an equivalent course approved by Lisa Kays.
This combined Level 2 and 3 course will focus on themes of:
--improved understanding of your relationship dynamics and ability to identify and work with the relationship dynamics of clients;
--exploration of status and power in relationships;
--exploration of new roles and ways of being than one's usual "default" styles and roles; and,
--other themes and issues as raised by participants.
In addition to the benefits above, therapists and other helpers will engage in reflective discussions at the end of each class for 1 hour exploring how these skills and observations can be transferred to patients through clinical work. This reflective session may include case presentations, clinical role plays, and other creative applications to assist with the participant's personal growth and/or work with clients.
Level 2: II. Game and Pattern: Relationship Dynamics & Level 3: Character: Status and Power in Relationships
--3 hour class: 2 hours of improvisation and 1 hour of debrief/group supervision/group process
--15 minute showcase tentatively scheduled, space permitting, for 1:30-2:30 p.m. on April 21, 2017 (in lieu of a full session of class that day)

NOTE: Classess require a minimum of 8 students in order to go forward. In the event that 8 students do not register for this class, anyone who does will be issued a full refund and given priority registration for future sessions.
REFUND POLICY: Given that registration levels determine class availability and securing of rental space, refunds cannot be issued once registraton is complete. However, if you are unable to attend the session once you register, your registration may be applied to a future session of the same level of class or to workshops or other events held by Lisa Kays.
