Improv for Self Acceptance & Actualisation
Got Anxiety? Nerves? Fear of Humiliation? Fear of looking or saying something stupid? Do you hold back your opinions? Is public speaking or improv something you could never, ever, ever do?
If any of these are true, then this class will surprise you and you will surprise yourself.
The improv arena is a phenomenal place to let go, have fun, be spontaneous, goofy and dance like no-one is watching. The improv arena is one of total support and acceptance which are key in gaining confidence on your path of greater and greater levels of self expression. Improv helps us get out of our logical left brain critic and into our creative right brain spontaneous.
Improv training is also great for memory, focus, listening, attention, and agility. You will learn the art of connecting with others which is beneficial in all areas of your life.
This 6 week course consists of 5 classes and a show case. The classes will consist of a combination of both short form and long form techniques. You will learn all the basics of improvisation and you will be given cozy safety nets and a support structure through out the course. The workouts will be dynamic, fun, encouraging, challenging and inspiring. The show will be structured to support you as a performer, i.e. you will have fun and the audience will be thrilled.
When you are done, you will be on the other side of saying "I could never do that". And that is a powerful place to be.
