Description

About the Workshop:

The business world is always changing, with disruptors transforming even the most established industries. To survive, business leaders have recognized the importance of innovation. Yet, many are still unclear about what skills and activities they will need. In this uncertainty, improvisation—the art of acting without a script—has quickly become invaluable.

Whether you’re on stage with an audience, in a co-working space with your team, or in a boardroom with trusted advisors, the ability to listen deeply to others (and the market), create quickly off the top of your head, respond to new ideas, and lean into the uncertainty of the moment are all valuable skills. At their cores, improvisation and innovation thrive in positivity and fearlessness.

This improv workshop will integrate the concepts of improv with the challenges of innovation, so participants leave more confident and better equipped to face the uncertainty of their lives and in their work.

(No previous improv experience required).

For more information about scholarships for students, please contact Steve Dry at steve@he-umc.org.
