Take the next step toward performing improv onstage! This 2-hour long 6-week class focuses on exploring the diverse world of improv, from performance formats to schools of improv thinking, as well as maintaining and building on the skills learned in Level 101. Classes will include work on short scenes, character, and space-object work, as well as building short-form skills and learning to use them in long-form. Must have completed Level 101 with Stranger Than Fiction or another reputable school and be in good standing as a student, or with instructor permission (email education@STFimprov.com). Students must be 18+ to participate.
Instructor Bio:
Tara McDonough has been teaching, performing, and otherwise thinking about improv for over 25 years -- which sometimes feels like a very long time, and sometimes feels like no time at all. She is the Education Chair of Seacoast New Hampshire's Stranger Than Fiction, co-founder of The Improvised Puppet Project in Portland Maine and San Francisco's Un-Scripted Theater Company, has trained with Keith Johnstone and teachers at BATS Improv, UCB, Magnet Theater, and ImprovBoston, and has performed on stages from San Francisco to Ireland. She has taught improv to clowns, shy people, public defenders, and everyone in between.
