About this Event
As a part of our inaugural IMPRINT program series celebrating the art and cultural contributions of African Americans, you will enjoy the art of creating African jewelry in this two hour interactive, hands-on workshop facilitated by Keith Johnson. Besides learning the history, cultural significance, and traditions of West African jewelry, you will be creating and designing earrings, bracelets, and necklaces utilizing money cowrie shells, including the sewing techniques for beautiful jewelry adornment.
