About this Event
Come join us and learn basic African drumming strokes and patterns and about the fascinating history of drum circles, the Djembe drum, and other percussion instruments (African Shakere, African Seed Pod, Rattles, Rain Sticks).
As a part of our inaugural IMPRINT program series celebrating the art and cultural contributions of African Americans during Black History Month, you will enjoy the art of African drumming and African dancing in this two hour interactive workshop hosted by Drum Arizona, Inc and facilitated by the talented Dr. Lydia A. Woods and Shawntele “Treasure” Howie-Carlson.
