"Act Like a Winner!"

Winners are made, not born. Project confidence and leadership with the words you use and your physical presence. Learn the secrets of how specific types of phrases create powerful connections with others. Find out how simple shifts in how you dress and move can make the difference in how you’re perceived. This fun and informative presentation will give you very specific techniques you can start using right away to make you more successful. Communication expert Brenda Buratti will share these skills, geared specifically to women leaders and entrepreneurs.

Brenda is an Emmy award-winning media executive with over 25 years’ experience in television and marketing. She’s on the senior management team at KGW. She also runs her own communications company, Right Now Communications, and the blog, Right Now Living. She is one of the Portland Business Journal’s Women of Influence, and has earned a lifetime achievement award from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Northwest Chapter. She is a member of the National Speakers Association. What she loves most is helping women become their awesome best!

"What would an optimist do?"

Brenda R. Bryan is a kick ass inspirational speaker, mastermind facilitator and transformational coach. Women entrepreneurs hire her to unmask and nurture their genius, empowering them to live in the strength of their passion.

Brenda began working in her passion of building community and supporting women early in her life. In 1972, she graduated from the Nova Scotia college of Art and Design, earning a degree in communication design. Following graduation she became active in the women's movement. Through her activism, Brenda acquired lasting skills in group processing, facilitation, and leadership.

While working as a political activist, Brenda realized that lasting change cannot happen until we as individuals become aware of our own limited programming and beliefs. Inspired by Sonja Johnson's book “Working from the Inside Out”, she was guided to discover for herself what it really meant to engage in one's inner work and how these skills could specifically apply to women. Since 1986, Brenda has been driven by her journey of acquiring transformational skills and helping women put them to work in order to empower themselves and each other. She has earned credentials from both the Heartwood Institute and the Hendricks Institute and has supported these certifications through a lifetime of trainings and workshops that support personal growth. However, despite her formal education and life experiences, it wasn't until experiencing a critical health scare and multiple surgeries in 2010 that Brenda finally understood on a deeply personal level the importance of consciously choosing life. Therefore, in 2012, Brenda moved to Portland to reboot her career and the following year earned a credential from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition, allowing her to round out her skills and frame her work and life's passion holistically. To support her work as a speaker and motivator, as well as for personal enjoyment, Brenda joined Toastmasters in Portland. She is currently serving as the President of her club and is a recipient of a number of awards for excellence in her ability to speak and present.

Having reinvented herself in these past four years, Brenda developed a deeper sense of what is involved in adopting new life-giving strategies. She is putting her stake in the ground to create a tribe of women dedicated to self-nurturing and empowerment.

Through her speaking engagements, community work, and individual and group coaching, Brenda is facilitating a shift in balance for many women personally, economically, spiritually, and in business.
