FAQs

Who should attend an Impact workshop?
Participants should have already attended Impact training. Roles best suited for attending an Impact workshop are primary users, often a subset of the DIAL Working Group – Institutional Effectiveness, IR, Research & Analytics, and Student Success committees. They should have direct access to data that will be analyzed in Impact and should be familiar with assessment and efficacy terms.

How many people should attend from my institution?
For an optimal and intimate workshop experience, we are limiting attendance to 2 participants per institution with a maximum of ten institutions.

What does my team need to do to prepare for this workshop?
Workshop preparation involves successfully submitting 2 initiatives through Impact (we will help you through this process). Tina Donahoo, Principal Consultant of Partner Outcomes, will follow up with instructions for your team after you’ve completed registration. Participants should also come prepared to share their work and learn from others in the Civitas community.

What are my accommodation options for this event?

May is a beautiful and bustling time here in the Austin area, so we recommend booking your accommodation as early as possible. Hotels.com or AirBnB are great resources for reserving a place near our office at a reasonable rate.

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

The main entrance to One Congress Plaza is on the westside of Congress Avenue and faces the street. Our office is within walking/rideshare distance of many hotels in the downtown area. If you plan to drive directly to the Civitas Learning office, on site parking is available in the garage just west of One Congress Plaza. We can validate your parking.

The entrance to the parking garage is between Congress Avenue and Colorado Street. Eastbound on Cesar Chavez: Turn left into the parking garage. Westbound on Cesar Chavez: Turn right into the parking garage. After taking the elevators up to ground level, you will see the secondary entrance to the One Congress Plaza building directly across the way.

There is a help desk on the first floor and the building staff can direct you to Suite 300. We will be located in the Learning Room, which is on the left of the Welcome Desk.

What should I bring to the workshop?

Participants need to bring a laptop or device to use for diving into Impact. All other materials will be provided.

How can I contact the organizer with any questions, including information about the refund policy?

Please contact Morgan Witt via phone (512) 640-9482 or email (morgan.witt@civitaslearning.com) with any pre-workshop or day-of help questions.
