Impact Wednesday September 4th 2019

Women in Senior Leadership

The Hampton-Alexander Review is committed to achieving the 33 per cent target for women on boards and in leaderships teams of FTSE 350 companies by 2020 - promising to ensure that talented women at the top of business are duly recognised, promoted and rewarded.

Last year, however, the number of women holding senior jobs in the boardrooms of Britain’s biggest companies plummeted by 6.4 per cent – with just 30 women in full-time executive roles at FTSE 250 firms, down from 38 the previous year.

So, are women in senior leadership still being challenged by issues relating to pay inequality, lack of sponsorship and mentorship and societally enforced gender role expectations?

At September’s Impact Wednesday event, hosted by Barclays Eagle Lab (Cambridge Incubator), we’ll be hearing from two truly inspiring women who have defied convention and stereotypes to fulfil senior leadership roles at the top rung of their chosen professions.

With our regular networking opportunities as well as an opportunity to pick up some exceptional tips for your own promotion and achievement, this is one event you really shouldn’t miss
