Panel Discussion: Impact Investing for Global Impact

In order to direct capital towards sustainable solutions, a change in attitude is in order - and new strategies for how we invest are required. We know there is a clear business case for investing in impact-focused companies. But, there is still much work to be done to turn good intentions into habit, and bring more investors into this ‘think’.

Pitch-Presentation: Scandinavian Impact Trailblazers

Companies with impact woven to ethos, and solutions packaged into good business, will make the case for customers and investors to tick about impact and sustainability.

About the Speakers:

Anna Ryott, Chair, Summa Equity

Anna is a senior advisor and expert in sustainable business and investments. Ryott is currently the Chair at Summa Equity and serves as a Board Member of Norrsken Foundation, Axel Johnson AB, UNF Global Entrepreneurs Council, World Childhood Foundation and Stockholm Sustainable Finance Center. In 2018, Anna Ryott was named Sweden’s most powerful female change maker by Veckans Affärer and 2014 she was awarded HM Konungens Medal for “Significant contributions to Swedish society and industry”


Sophie Stenbeck, Founding Partner of Max Ventures, Board Member

Sophie Stenbeck is an Anchor Investor and Advisor to Max Ventures - an early-stage venture capital firm based in New York City. Sophie has been an active investor in early-stage start-ups in a wide range of industries, including hospitality, retail, digital media, and financial technology. Sophie sits on the board of directors of Penske Media Corporation.

In addition to her professional career, Sophie is a significant philanthropist through the Sophie Stenbeck Family Foundation, focusing on child rights, education, and eliminating trafficking. She also serves on several foundation boards. She is a co-founding board member of Queen Silvia's World Childhood Foundation and the Chairman of the Stenbeck Stiftelse. Sophie is is a true believer in social entrepreneurship.

John Nevado, Advisor, Align17

John Nevado is an Advisor for Align17, an online impact investment platform for Family Offices. He has extensive global experience in sustainability and agriculture. He was formerly the President of Nevado Roses, family-owned sustainable rose plantations producing organic and Fair Trade roses in Ecuador. John serves on the board of Sonanz, an impact fund-of-funds based in Germany. John is a Young Global Leader of the World Economic Forum in Davos since 2006.
