Impact Theatre Atlanta is hosting a Community Workshop Series featuring Atlanta's premier writing instructors. Instructors will lead writing intensives for a myriad of genres. Community Writing Workshop Schedule:
Reflections of the Ugly Self:
This workshop will focus on either the personal or the discursive essay after examining cultural standards of beauty in juxtaposition with ourselves. The question: What of your physical, emotional or other self-aspects do you find most objectionable and why? Hopefully, an analysis of the answer to that question and participant interactions will help produce provocative essays. We will utilize the multi-paragraph essay form and lean towards academic writing, even in the personal essay.
