This course will help Social Workers understand the impact of trauma on a child’s development. Discussion will focus on the effects of trauma on a child’s physical development, as well as the impact of trauma on child’s ability attachment. The Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE) will be reviewed, focusing on associations between childhood maltreatment and later-life health and well-being.
