This conference is for Physicians, PAs, APRNs, RNs, RDs, speech therapists, IBCLCs, and others who support mother/baby dyads with breastfeeding.

Participants will be able to:

  • Demonstrate the normal mechanisms of tongue and lip tie involvement in the unrestricted infant latch

  • Learn how to do a proper infant oral assessment and know how to determine the difference between a tie and a frenulum

  • Demonstrate an understanding of how tethered oral tissues affect midface formation

  • Understand how midface contraction can lead to malocclusion and sleep apnea

  • Understand the impact of tongue tie on speech articulation disorders
