About Impact Law Forum:
Impact Law Forum is a practice group designed to support the community of attorneys advising social enterprises, nonprofits, and sustainable businesses in the San Francisco Bay Area. The forum provides a unique opportunity for attorneys practicing in the social impact sector to connect, share resources and networks, offer mutual guidance, ask questions, and discuss relevant legal issues, legislation, public policy, and case law. Regular meetings are held at locations throughout the Bay Area.
About Our Speaker:
Tony Lai, a lawyer turned educator and entrepreneur, will present LawGives, an online platform to help educate tomorrow’s lawyers through pro bono work and to make free legal information more widely available. Tony is the CEO & co-founder of LawGives. He is on the staff team at StartX, the Stanford student startup accelerator, where he is leading their new social innovation initiative. He is a Fellow at CodeX, the Stanford Center for Legal Informatics, and was on the teaching teams for a new Legal Technology course at Stanford Law and a joint Harvard/Stanford class, Ideas for a Better Internet.
