Event Details

The IMPACT: Innovation + Philanthropy Forum convenes board, business, City, community, donor and nonprofit leaders to discuss innovations in philanthropy and strategies for building the capacity of nonprofit organizations and individuals to make a lasting impact in the community.

This year, IMPACT will feature keynote speaker, Beth Kanter, interviewed by Graham McLaughlin, Managing Director of Corporate Responsibility, The Advisory Board Company

Join nonprofit thought leader and author Beth Kanter for a conversation about how nonprofit leaders can avoid burnout and encourage a culture of wellbeing in the nonprofit workplace.  Nonprofits are driven to do more, more, more, often with fewer and fewer resources; there comes a breaking point where passion dwindles under the weight of pressure, and the mission suffers as a result. Hear tips and strategies from author Beth Kanter’s recent book, The Happy Healthy Nonprofit: Strategies for Impact without Burnout that will help steer your organization away from burnout while boosting all-around performance.

Following the keynote speaker, you may attend one of the three interactive breakout sesions.

Ask Beth Anything

Here’s your chance to ask Beth Kanter anything you ever wanted to know!  As the author of The Happy Healthy Nonprofit, The Networked Nonprofit and Measuring the Networked Nonprofit, Beth is widely known for her work in social media, digital strategy, measurement, and wellbeing.  Bring all your questions for Beth from wellness and impact to giving days and crowdfunding to measurement and evaluation.

Happy Healthy Fundraising - How to Make it Happen

How do you care for yourself AND optimize funds for the critical work of your organization?  Where should you spend your time and energy?   What works and what doesn't?  What do your donors need to stay involved and increase their giving level?  How can you stay focused when there is so much to do on any given day?  What can you do to avoid burnout and stay motivated, enthusiastic, happy and healthy as a fundraiser?

Fundraising is a meaningful, fun, people-focused profession.  Come hear fellow fundraisers share what is working for them and learn from donors what is really important to them.  Learn tips to help you relate to your donors, raise more money and enjoy your important role in making positive change happen.
