IMPACT Hour: Enhancing Reading Instruction with AI Tools

At Keep Indiana Learning, we know educators need professional learning that fits into their busy schedules and makes a real difference. With our IMPACT Hours, you’ll get bite-sized professional learning sessions with big results. In just one hour, participants will move through a cycle of learning: identifying needs, seeing strategies modeled, practicing new ideas, applying them to their own work, checking for understanding, and taking back actionable tools for immediate use.

This IMPACT Hour explores how educators can use AI tools to enhance reading instruction. Participants learn to integrate tools like ChatGPT, Notebook LM, and Gemini to plan differentiated lessons, identify word patterns, support vocabulary and fluency, and personalize learning pathways. Hands-on activities demonstrate how AI can generate writing prompts, assess pronunciation, and support comprehension. The session also emphasizes aligning instruction with tiered skill development and using AI to translate student data into actionable insights. Participants leave with practical strategies, resources, and tools to support planning, instruction, and assessment in reading and writing-focused classrooms.

Who Should Attend:

This session is designed for educators who are focused on improving student literacy by integrating the principles of the Science of Reading into their daily instruction.

Participants can expect to engage in planning reading instruction using AI tools and their own curriculum or content area reading.

Pay via Invoice

If you need to pay for your registration via invoice, you may do so by selecting your ticket and then choosing the invoice option at check out. Invoices will be sent upon completion of the event. 

Cancellation Policy - Cancellations made before the payment settles (usually within 24 hours) will be 100% refunded. Cancellations made 7 calendar days or more in advance of the event date, will receive a 90% refund. Cancellations made less than 7 days of the event will receive a 75% refund. Any cancellation made on the day of or after will NOT receive a refund.
