Entrepreneurs and intrapreneurs today face unique challenges that require skillful leadership to overcome. It can be difficult to take charge when you are faced with ambiguity, to find and maximize resources in limited time, to build effective teams united by a clear and compelling vision, and to continue learning when difficult roadblocks arise. It takes courage, energy, and persistence to build an organization from the ground up. Functioning highly for the long term requires operating from a well-defined personal leadership philosophy, building trust with others over time, and communicating what is meaningful about the mission your team is pursuing.
Have you explored the fundamental— but often imperceptible—mindsets that drive your own leadership behavior each day? The way you lead and interact with others originates from your beliefs, values, and assumptions in any given moment. These mindset-driven aspects of self may be so deeply ingrained that they implicitly influence you while you lead. Failing to examine hidden aspects of self can derail your leadership efforts.
In this hands-on and highly interactive workshop, you will first identify the primary mindsets you hold that drive your leadership behavior. For example, do you prefer to control or let go? Are you more energized by managing details or thinking about the big picture? Do you assume your team is motivated on its own? What do you really value most? Your results may surprise you!
You will also be challenged to expand the way you view yourself as a leader by hearing from others who hold mindsets and experiences that are different from yours. Broadening your perspective in this way will enable you to better understand yourself and others, which is important for practicing compassion and authentic appreciation for those you lead.
Finally, in this workshop, you will be asked to craft a personal mission statement that effectively communicates your leadership philosophy. Those you lead will know what to expect from you if you align your messaging and actions to your core beliefs. This is critical for building trust and for making strong connections with others.
Skillful entrepreneurial leaders have the capacity to influence by example and build great teams and organizations. Join us for this workshop so you can better define your own leadership philosophy, connect with others, see the value of becoming functionally flexible, and learn how to effectively communicate your leadership approach to others for greater influence and impact.
