Movie trailers are a perfect way to introduce a lesson or unit in a fun and interesting way. In this session you will learn how to make your own Hollywood-style trailer with music from the London Philarmonic and professionally-designed motion graphics and effects. These movie trailers can also be used to teach storyboarding skills and to help your students develop their visual storytelling skills in a fun and creative way.
About Our Trainers:
Luis Perez is a doctoral candidate in the Department of Special Education. His dissertation research focuses on the experiences of graduate students with visual disabilities, and he has expertise in qualitative research methods, Universal Design for Learning, mobile learning with iPads, podcasting/screencasting and assistive technology. Luis has been a part of the Lounge staff since 2005, and he was the main content creator for TechEase 4 All, a website focusing on assistive technologies. In 2009, Luis was recognized as an Apple Distinguished Educator, and he is certified in both iLife and iWork.
BJ is a doctoral candidate in the Adult Education program at the University of South Florida. He is a highly skilled videograher and presents workshops on iMovie, Final Cut, and other video editing applications. BJ is an expert user of all versions of iLife and iWork, and is certified by Apple in iLife. He can also help you learn how to use interactive whiteboards in the classroom. BJ's research focuses on developing and teaching with accessible media with the use of ePub, ARIA, and HTML5 standards. BJ has earned a M. Ed. in Instructional Technology from USF and a B.A. in Electronic Media Art and Technology from the University of Tampa.
When & Where
The iteach Lounge also serves as an open space for students to study or receive technology integration help to enhance their educational experience at the University of South Florida. The iteach Lounge is open Monday - Thursday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
