Event description

Description

Join other SF and Peninsula HBS Alumnae Circles members on Tuesday evening February 26 beginning at 5:30 p.m. for networking, dinner, and a fantastic workshop on IMMUNITY TO CHANGE. This is the major 2019 event for our Circles region, held conveniently at 425 Market Street in San Francisco.

So many of us want to change something - given feedback we've received or our own self-awareness - in order to increase our leadership or live a more fulfilled life. But we often feel stuck in how to do that. The accessible and tested Immunity to Change model which was co-created by Harvard professors Robert Kegan and Lisa Lahey (experts in the field of adult development), helps us understand the roots of our immunity and how we might overcome it. Everyone is guaranteed to leave with a deeper understanding why they are stuck and a plan for how to move forward.

The agenda for the evening workshop includes:

  • Networking; dinner buffet 5:30-6:45

  • Welcome/framing Immunity to Change 6:45-7:00

  • Everyone creates their "Immunity to Change" maps based on a particular behavior change they are seeking to make 7:00-8:15

  • Closing/Commit to an 'experiment' which would help each person make traction on their behavior goal. 8:15-8:45

Workshop leader Chantal Below is a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach certified Immunity to Change Facilitator, certified Strengths Deployment Inventory facilitator, and an LMAP 360
administrator. She has received extensive training from Cambridge Leadership Associates on Adaptive Leadership, from Coaches Rising on Adult Development, and from Echoing Green on the Work on Purpose curriculum. Chantal co-authored the Stanford Social Innovation Review article " Freeing the Social Entrepreneur" and earned a BA from Georgetown University and an MBA from UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business. The event includes a full buffet dinner and good wines. Please email Barbara Keck at bkeck@mba1976.hbs.edu if you wish to have a vegetarian entrée.
