YOGA - the natural immunity booster
Throughout winter, the chances of falling sick rise sharply. It’s difficult for our body to keep the pathogens at bay when the immunity levels are down and people around us are sneezing and coughing. When times are trying, our mind is also susceptible to diseases like stress, anxiety, and negative thought/action. Though we cannot shun from being in contact with those who are ill, nor can we hide from what is happening in our external world, we can certainly strengthen our defense mechanisms.
Yoga, perhaps, is one of the most effective and time-tested natural immunity boosters that we can adopt for a healthier life. It is an ancient art that strengthens the body and also relaxes the mind.
In this workshop, we'll work with a variety of asana learning to strengthen each posture and deepen your practice by understanding how to build these shapes from the ground up. Creating a strong foundation for each pose is the key to get into any asana in order to achieve a calm, meditative mental state.
There will be a little bit of everything sprinkled in this workshop: backbends, arm balances and inversions. Together, we'll train the body, mind and spirit to be healthy and strong. We'll come together as a loving and compassionate community creating a supportive and uplifting space to explore our practice and build our physical and mental IMMUNITY!!
