Description
Join Urban Oasis and the East Side Freedom Library in this growing season's biggest walking tour yet! This tour not only includes an oral history of immigration on Saint Paul's East Side led by Peter Rachleff of East Side Freedom Library, but also features Urban Oasis' Edible Streetscape project located on East 7th Street. Peter will lead participants through beautiful scenery of the East Side such as Swede Hollow Park.
The walking tour concludes at Flat Earth Brewery, located in the historical Hamm's brewery, where participants can choose to attend a complimentary brewery tour to learn about the building's interesting past, sip a delicious beer brewed by Flat Earth, grab some food from food trucks Fire on the Bluff and LolaRosa's, and learn more about Urban Oasis' vision for a stronger food system.
$10 reserves your spot on the tour; $5 will be returned to you at event check-in.

What is Edible Streetscape?
Edible Streetscape is a project transforming the busy urban street of East 7th Street into “performance art” that uses 10 concrete planters to celebrate food, from seed to table, and honor the diverse food traditions and local food resources of Saint Paul's East Side.
