Event description

2 Days, 1 Challenge, 4 Sprint Teams, 4 Prototypes

Join New Haircut for an innovative workshop on mastering Design Sprints.

You'll learn the tools & techniques of the same proven, structured framework that Google Ventures has used to design, prototype and validate solutions for Uber, Slack, Blue Bottle Coffee and more.

The workshop is fast-paced, hands-on, timeboxed, and immersive. We'll move from an initial product idea, to a hi-fidelity prototype we'll use to test on live customers. In 2 intensive days, you'll learn and apply creative ideation techniques like Lightning Demos, Sketching, User Story Mapping, Prototyping and Customer Interviews.

By the end of the workshop you'll have the right knowledge and process to drive hi-impact innovation inside your organization.

Your Trainers:

John Vetan graduated from Polytechnic University of Timisoara with a degree in engineering, John was destined to be a technology pioneer — he started his own digital agency in 2003. In 2010 he created a co-venture with Jay Melone that is now New Haircut.

John is the mastermind behind all of the digital offerings that originate out of New Haircut. He’s chartered the evolution of New Haircut’s process over the past 6 years. Most recently, he led New Haircut to becoming early leaders in applying design sprints to build web and mobile products for our clients, as well as the products New Haircut incubates on its own, in our Startup Lab — also John’s creation.

John’s work within the sprint room has been featured by Google Ventures (the originators of the design sprint), InVision and OpenView Partners.

Jay Melone
started his career at Accenture where he spent 7 years building digital products using anything but design sprints — things were slow and inefficient. But as he transitioned from writing code at Accenture to leading technology teams inside startups (including his own), he quickly adopted an appreciation and mastering of lean and agile practices. Now, as the CEO at New Haircut, and one of their sprint facilitators, he helps product teams build better software, faster and cheaper, using design sprints and agile software development.
