Event description
Sunday Worship under PHASE 2

About this Event

Now that Snohomish County has entered Phase 2 of the state reopening plan, worship services will be allowed with a limit of 50 people in attendance (not counting paid staff).

If you find the worship time you would like to sign-up for is already full (sold out) you are encouraged to still click on the "Join Waitlist" button and fill in your name. If by chance reservation slots become available you may be contacted to reserve a seat for worship.

People who are on the waitlist will be given priority to signup for the next week's worship services to provide equal opportunity to attend the service time of their choice.

Registration to attend worship is required each week. Only those individuals who have a reservation for that specific worship time will be allowed in. Expect an Elder at the entrance to have a list of attendees and will check you in when you arrive. Walkups allowed only if fewer than 50 people have registered.

We are asking for 5 volunteers to clean and disinfect high-touch areas after each worship service. This includes pews (backs, seats, arms), entry door, restrooms (door handles, light switches, faucets, toilet handles) and water fountain push bars. Buckets of soapy water, rags and disinfectant spray will be provided. If you are willing to stay after the worship service to assist with cleaning, please let us know by checking the box under Can You Help? in the reservation order form.

Important Notes:

  • High risk individuals are encouraged to remain at home. Worship service videos will continue to be posted on YouTube and Facebook. If you or anyone in your household are experiencing any symptoms, please stay home. These symptoms include fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, diarrhea, new loss of taste or smell. Please check your temperature before leaving home to be sure it is below 100.4.
  • Masks are required and must be worn the entire service. Bring a CDC-approved mask/face covering and wear it while at church (except for small children and those with breathing difficulties). Disposable masks will be available from elder/usher in narthex.
  • Enter through main narthex doors. Recommended to use the available hand sanitizer before entering sanctuary.
  • Go directly to pews following the usher’s direction (no visiting in the narthex or aisles).
  • Remain on the sanctuary level at all times (sanctuary, narthex, restroom, connecting hallway).
  • Keep masks on throughout service – EVEN while singing. Exception – mask may be temporarily removed to receive Holy Communion.
  • Follow the elder’s direction for receiving communion. If not receiving communion and others in your pew are, step into the side aisle to let them pass.
  • You may remove your mask to eat and drink the bread and wine of communion. After communing, communicants will dispose of the plate and individual cups in the receptacles provided.
  • Maintain social distancing at all times.
  • If you must use the restroom during service, check with the ushers to be sure restroom is not occupied.
  • Nursery is closed – small children are welcome in service. Pastor will provide a children’s message during service on non-communion Sundays/Wednesdays, but children will remain in their pew.
  • Families should bring their own quiet toys as “busy bags” will not be available. Children’s bulletins will be available from the usher.
  • Offering box will be in narthex. Offerings can be deposited on entry or exit.
  • At close of service, take your worship folder home. Do not leave anything on the pew for others to dispose of (except cushion – see below).
  • If you wish to use a cushion, pick it up before proceeding to your pew. After service, leave the cushion on the pew for an usher to remove.
  • You will be notified if any congregant later reports of symptoms, diagnosis or possible exposure to COVID-19.
  • There will be no refreshments before or after the worship services. You are encouraged to visit and fellowship with others outside and in the parking lot, remembering to observe the 6 foot distance rule.

We are excited to join with you in worship again. We will strive to maintain a safe environment as Snohomish County moves through the stages of Washington State’s “Safe Start” reopening plan. We thank and praise God that we have been able to gather around His Word via computer these past few months and look forward to continuing to worship Him who called us out of darkness into His marvelous light!

Please contact the church office, Pastor Heck, or one of the elders if you have any questions, comments or concerns about these plans.
