This class is developed and taught by Danielle Ferretti, 4th Grade teacher at Bollinger Canyon Elementary.

The goal of this series is to learn the fundamentals of design thinking and engineering through the creation of virtual and physical jewelry pieces using Autodesk Tinkercad. Students will be able to put their own spin on the piece they are learning to make sure that it becomes their own unique creation and an expression of their identity. Students will have the opportunity to 3D print one of their designs upon completion.

Please be mindful when registering for this program. No refunds will be granted unless the spot can be filled by another child on the waitlist. Refunds within one week of the start of the course will incur a $25 processing fee.

Waitlist will be handled in order until 24 hours before the event. At that time if a spot becomes available, the entire waiting list will be notified at the same time and the first to respond will be offered the spot.

The San Ramon Valley Education Foundation (SRVEF) is proud to introduce Imagineering, a beyond school enrichment program for SRVUSD students in grades 4 to 7. The goal of Imagineering is to spark student interest in choosing STEM classes in middle and high school with the ultimate goal of identifying more STEM majors who will ultimately become highly sought after talent in the US corporate workplace.

The program consists of several themes, each of which is taught in four (4) one-hour classes. These courses are designed to provide a serious, but enjoyable, science experience to supplement the science exposure elementary and middle school students receive at school. Currently these classes are targeted for beginners, but as more children cycle through the program, there will be level 2 and 3 classes offered in these content areas as well.

The curriculum for each theme is developed by a master teacher, who also teaches the class. Each class is supported by student mentors, middle and high school students who are knowledgeable in the content and skills involved in the program. Imagineering is a hands-on program with students learning practical application within each of the themes.
