Event description

Description

Get ready to find your inner awesome! Set in the beautiful Mornington Peninsula, this 2 day retreat is calling you.

The buzz of our personality-laden retreat greets you with surprises at every turn. A relaxing and yet exciting two days of art, art and more art as well as food, good company and relaxation.

Workshops will include learning to draw using the Monart method as well as Jenny Wood's unique mix of styles in a failure free environment from beginners to advanced. The two days hold many surprises and as well as the workshops you will have the opportunity to hone your skills while sipping coffee or wine and eating delicious morsels of food.

You will:

Learn basic drawing skills

Develop drawing skills to embrace your own style

Create a journal with your drawings using professional binding methods

Spend time just drawing and chatting with your new found addiction

Other exciting workshops!

Men, women and teenagers are welcome. Don't be afraid if you have never drawn in your life! Workshops at this event will accommodate all levels of skill and previous experience. Optional 'chill and draw' time will be available for those who prefer. Specific details of the workshops will be disclosed after the early bird tickets have sold on January the 10th!

Extend your stay for the weekend and take advantage of the only Australian region named as one of the 'must-see places of 2015 in the National Geographics annual Best of the World list. The National Geographic article pointed out the Peninsula isn’t just about food, describing it as Melbourne’s traditional summer playground.

Feel free to bring your partner and we can arrange activities for them while you're having fun at the retreat. This includes a fun golfing day next door or a guided tour of the wine region.

Teenagers (old and young) are welcome providing they are independent and able to focus for long periods of time.

Plenty of parking is available and a bus passes close by from Frankston station. If you are driving, the event is less than 1km from the Dromana turn off on the freeway. Easy peasy!

Your happiness and good cheer. All materials are supplied in the cost of the classes

How can I contact the organizer with any questions?

What about accommodation?

To keep the costs down, we have not included accommodation, however we highly recommend the Bay Motel at Safety Beach, where most of the retreat participants will stay. This beautifully appointed motel is 250 metres from the beach and owned by the gorgeous Josie who will be pleased to look after you when you mention that you are with our retreat.

Lunch is provided on both days. If you purchase the 2 day package, dinner is also provided (parma night at the venue). Drinks and cakes are available for sale at the venue.
