Description

I'm From Driftwood, the LGBTQ Story Archive, and Made by We present a special Storytelling Pride Event, hosted by queer recording artist Tangina Stone. Come watch some stories and join the conversation about what it's like to be queer in the music and entertainment industry, featuring storytellers Ari Gold, David Raleigh, and Daphne Always.

IMG Records' artist Tangina Stone has been championed as a universal breath of fresh air. Gracing stages from New York to Tokyo, to London, she’s headlined festivals, toured the world and been able to gig freely across the U.S. thanks to her partnership with Spirit Airlines. Led by her infectious single “Anxious,” her debut album "Elevate" debuted at #27 on the iTunes Top R&B Albums chart and #44 on Apple Music Japan Top R&B Albums chart. Currently, she's touring and recording her anticipated sophomore album. Her new single "Fanta" is out now everywhere!

Sir Ari Gold is an Award Winning, Billboard Top 10 recording artist with more #1 videos on LOGO than any artist to date. He was knighted by the Imperial Court of NY, one of the longest standing human rights organizations in the world, for his pioneering work as an openly gay singer/songwriter. Awards include the Grand Prize in the USA Songwriting Competition, Independent Music Award, LGBT Expo, “Decade of Achievement,” and 3x Outmusic & “Visionary Award” winner by the LGBT Academy of Recording Arts. His third remix album REMIX TO FREEDOM drops this month with the collective #GoldNation. @SirAriGold on YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram. www.arigold.com

David Raleigh is a NYC singer, songwriter and piano player most noted for his extended exclusive engagements at such iconic establishments at The Bull and Bear at The Waldorf Astoria, The Ritz Carlton - Battery Park, The Hilton Hotel and The Hotel Pierre. His concerts at Joe’s Pub, The Cutting Room and Birdland draw large crowds of fans who enjoy his romantic original pop hits and his soulful renditions of favorites from the Great American Songbook. New York Magazine called him “A Nat King Cole for a new generation”. He has toured extensively in Europe, Australia and Asia. His latest album “The Equation Of Love” is available everywhere music is sold and he can be seen currently at The Duplex Cabaret Theatre, co starring in Charles R. Hale’s “Jazz In The City: The New York Connection”

Daphne Always is a cabaret performer, speaker, and model who works in New York nightlife, theater, and events. Her favorite credits include a sold-out run as Sally Bowles in Cabaret at the Deep End, a 2019 Brooklyn Nightlife Award for Best Vocalist/Musical Group, and her sold-out debut at Joe's Pub this past March--be sure to catch her return to Joe's on August 4!
