Event description

Description

Renowned furniture and interior designer Ilse Crawford (Studioilse) describes her practice as “creating environments where humans feel comfortable; public spaces that make people feel at home; and homes that are habitable and make sense for the people who live in them.” In this talk, Crawford will explain why interiors—and the stuff that fills them—matter, how our imagined order and values are embedded in the material world we make, and how meaningful this can be in the wake of the digital.

ASL Interpretation will be provided. If you have any accessibility questions or concerns, please email us.

Free and open to the public. Pre-registration requested.

Presented in association with the 2018 DesignPhiladelphia Festival.
