Event description

Description

The JCCSF is honored to host this year’s kickoff ITP Roundtable focusing on “Illuminating and Examining Relationships in Reggio Inspired Settings.” This focus holds a special connection to the JCCSF’s Early Childhood Program as it closely dovetails with our intention for the 2016-17 school year “Building Relationships: Children, Families, and Colleagues.” Teachers from all 3 schools; Helen Diller Family Preschool, Rosenberg Early Childhood Center, and Brotherhood Way Preschool, with share threads of their experiences and ways that they have cultivated relationships throughout the year. They will offer anecdotes and images about their thinking and how they integrate the value of relationships into their work with young children and families. We see relationships as the foundation for emergent curriculum, creating and sustaining a school culture, and building opportunities for children and teachers to be co-constructors of learning together. Each of the presentations will have a different story arc, but at the core they will all be sharing the concept of developing strong relationships reflective of our Jewish values and inspiration from Reggio Emilia.
