Description

Please join Illume Impact power users from across the Civitas to share, learn, and collaborate on specific examples of initiatives and programs that partners analyze through the tool.

Participants will spend time with our Civitas experts and other partners diving into the data preparation process, learning how to engage key stakeholders on campus, conducting analysis and documenting findings, and presenting results back to the key stakeholders. Specific topics include:

  • Ideal programs/initiatives for persistence measurement

  • How to interpret results and prepare a report to document findings

  • How to organize internally around use of Impact, including

    • strategies for engaging key stakeholders in the process

    • gathering data from key stakeholders

    • conducting the analysis

    • sharing results & gaining buy-in

    • using results to bring about institutional change on campus

Your team will leave with an action plan they can take back to their institution and put into practice!

What are my hotel accommodation options for this event?

October is an extremely busy time here in the Austin area, and here are a few events going on in downtown Austin the week of October 17 & 18. Unfortunately we aren't able to secure a room block rate of less than $350 in the immediate area surrounding our downtown office, but we recommend using Hotels.com or AirBnB to reserve a place nearby at a good rate (follow the links to see available spaces for the night of October 17).

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

The main entrance to One Congress Plaza is on the westside of Congress Avenue and faces the street. Our office is within walking/rideshare distance of many hotels in the downtown area. If you plan to drive directly to the Civitas Learning office, on site parking is available in the garage just west of One Congress Plaza. We can validate your parking.

The entrance to the parking garage is between Congress Avenue and Colorado Street. Eastbound on Cesar Chavez: Turn left into the parking garage. Westbound on Cesar Chavez: Turn right into the parking garage. After taking the elevators up to ground level, you will see the secondary entrance to the One Congress Plaza building directly across the way.

There is a help desk on the first floor and the building staff can direct you to Suite 300. We will be located in the Learning Room, which is on the left of the Welcome Desk.
