Back in July, we held an IL*DS Community Kick-Off. We asked questions like:

What have your experiences been navigating tech/design/product hiring in Illinois state, county, and/or municipal government?

What we heard signalled a lack of familiarity with local processes and ecosystems. Nathalie Rayter and Omar Gonzalez decided to see what they could do about that. Since this summer, they have been conducting desk research, interviewing applicants, and surveying the landscape of public sector tech jobs in Illinois.
