Event description

Description

Lean tools only get you so far. To make Lean a true competitive advantage, it must be built on a culture of the right behaviors. This is something that often gets mentioned in Lean books and classes, but it's seldom dealt with directly.

Why? Because changing a culture is hard. "If it wasn't hard, everyone would do it," Tom Hanks says in A League of Their Own. "The hard part is what makes it great."

The hard work starts with assembling what you need for a plan. This three-hour workshop will help attendees explore:

  • Why is culture key to Lean Success?
  • How can your company define culture as the center of your operating system?
  • What behaviors are most effective?
  • How do you build a strategy to change your culture?
  • What role do the leaders play?
  • Once you build it, how do you measure it?

Presenter Jamie Flinchbaugh will focus on the purposeful and pragmatic middle between dry, static tools and unattainable theory. Flinchbaugh is an accomplished entrepreneur, senior executive, and board member with more than 20 years of success spanning finance, manufacturing, automotive, and management consulting. He will share examples, stories, and methods to help workshop attendees navigate these waters.

This program is for anyone, at any level of the organization, who desires the ability to impact the culture that surrounds them.
