IKOR Supporting Seniors Series - Aging in Place with a Plan
Sat, April 29, 2017, 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM EDT
Most seniors still tend not to plan for aging, and either by choice or necessity, they age in place either staying in their home or moving to an apartment or condominium. Everyone wants to age in place — and then when that first episode occurs that makes them, or someone close to them, recognize that everything is changing, the situation can become overwhelming. Navigating that change is complicated and challenging. Sometimes children live at a distance, and couples who don’t have children worry about who will support them as they age. Because every situation is unique, there are no proven formulas to determine the best course of action. This workshop will explain the different areas to consider while making a plan to Age in Place. We will walk through the planning areas and briefly outline the different types of living arrangements for Seniors as they age.
