Description

Ikebana International Annual Exhibitiion - Celebrating Spring will present three sessions of amazing ikebana art from April 12 - 21, 2019 10:00 am to 4:00 pm daily. So come early and often to see Ikebana artist who come from six different schools within our region. We will host our first Student Exhibition, April 16 - 19.

All activities will be held at the U.S.National Arboretum in the National Bonsai and Penjing Musesum.

Demonstrations will be held at 1:00 pm on:

April 13 -- Sangetsu Ikebana;

April 14 -- Sogetsu Ikebana;

April 20 -- Ichiyo Ikebana;

April 21 -- Saga Goryu.

These are FREE events and open to all.

Ikebana for Kids workshop will be April 13 at 1:00 pm in the Administration Building Auditorium for kids 10-13 of age. There is a $25 fee to participate. Parents can register their children on our webpage www.iichapter1.com, scroll down and click on Register or Eventbrite. Registration is required.

Kids will be able to make their own arrangement, receive a certificate of attendance and learn about the culture of Japan.
