BECOME A LEADER WHO HARNESSES SPIRITUALITY IN YOUR WORK TO TRANSFORM THE WORLD
The intersection of spirituality and social transformation is one of the most compelling ways to create lasting change. Many of our most revered activists and leaders have used spirituality as the cornerstone of their work.
Gandhi. Martin Luther King, Jr. Desmond Tutu. The Dalai Lama.
All inspired and propelled by the power of spirituality and faith.
In the face of unprecedented social unrest, it's time to talk about how faith and spirituality--things that often seem to divide us--can actually be among the most powerful and uniting forces on the planet. Our panel, “Ignited Souls: The Spirit of Social Transformation,” will explore how to galvanize the passion of spirituality and faith into socially transformative work that furthers the well-being of all.
Whether you're a leader, activist, ally, or simply someone who has been shocked by the divisiveness and injustice of our world and feels compelled to act, this event will help you tap into that well of inspiration to resist oppression, advocate for justice, and participate in transforming the world--in whatever way you feel called.
At this event, we’ll discuss:
- The essence of social transformation. What is “social transformation?” Why is it important to imagine the possibility of a different world? How can we inspire folks from different walks of like to come together to achieve better outcomes? What roles can people with commitment to faith and spirituality play in facilitating compassionate, effective change?
- What we, as individuals and leaders, can do. What are common qualities that leaders of social transformation embody? What tools do I need to affect real change? What biases and/or privileges do I need to recognize? How can I communicate a vision that invites all of us into a community?
- How you can get involved. What learning paths can I pursue to become a critical thought leader? What activities can I be involved in? What is the value of higher education in this line of work?

RSVP today. Show up. Get involved. And you don’t need to know all the answers—in fact, great leaders are aware they don't have all the answers. We own and affirm that we’re human; we own our finitude; we allow ourselves to be vulnerable so that we can better help others in their vulnerability.
Complimentary appetizers, desserts, wine, and beer will be served. Join us for an engaging evening of conversation, insight, and community building. We look forward to seeing you there.
