If you had five minutes on stage what would you say? What if you only got 20 slides and they rotated automatically after 15 seconds? Around the world geeks have been putting together Ignite nights to show their answers.
Ignite was started in Seattle in 2006 by Brady Forrest and Bre Pettis. Since then 100's of 5 minute talks have been given across the world. There are thriving Ignite communities in Seattle, Portland, Paris, and NYC.
This is the third Ignite Princeton.The first one was on March 2, 2010 and the second was in February this year. We have a great time and hope to see you at our next Ignite. The $7 ticket price (includes an Eventbrite booking fee) serves two purposes, it guarantees you a spot to come to Ignite (once sold out, that's it, due to the limitations of the space), and they offset the cost of audio-visual equipment and food. There will be a cash bar, too.
6:30 – Check-in and registration opens
7:00 – Warm up and/or Make: contest begins
7:45 – Ignite talks begin
We have ended before 11:00 pm, but we have the room until that time, and who knows, Ignite Karaoke might get out of hand!
