Come hear transformative stories of service at the Central LA Campfire. We are inviting people from all over LA and the surrounding areas to join our Igniter community as they share their final public narratives and their vision for the future of Los Angeles.
Ignition Central LA, hosted by Ignite Good and The Huffington Post brings together individuals involved in social change and service work from Central LA.
The Ignition Central LA training challenges millennial service leaders to explore the values behind their work through narrative and tell the stories of their community. By learning to tell courageous stories in groups, participants develop stronger compassion for themselves and others and a deeper understanding of the connectedness of the social change field in their local community. Empowered with these narratives, our millennial change makers, “Igniters”, are champions of a new, more collaborative future.
This event is free and open to the public. We are asking for a suggested donation of $20 to help us cover the direct costs of the event.
Light refreshments will be provided.
Parking details: Ample street parking available or you may use the parking lot at 7th and Alameda (first hour free, after that $1 per 15 min up to $5 max for daily parking)

When & Where
Ignite Good and Huffington Post
Ignite Good fosters more interconnected and mutually supportive local communities. We do this by hosting gatherings and workshops that support participants' efforts to become more powerful storytellers. At these events we use story and curated invitations to set the stage for participants to find common ground with unlikely allies and to increase the likelihood they'll discover and explore solutions together. Through working on each other’s stories together, participants develop a deeper sense of shared ownership in each other’s success. Because we also teach the power of shared narratives (i.e. "The Story of Us") participants leave with a greater sense of common purpose and aggregate potential. We're different from the other organizations who do related work because our events invite participants that reflect a broad scope of the communities where we work and because we prioritize ensuring significant millennial representation. www.ignite-good.org
