This talk "Building a Project From the Ground Up: IFC's Role in Developing Solar Power Generation in Chile" covers how IFC as a developmental finance institution became involved in the solar photovoltaic power generation sector in Chile from the very beginning and catalyzed the development of the industry into one of the fastest growing sectors in the country today, together with an exploration of the most recent challenges faced by the industry. It is based on projects that the speaker has worked on as part of his job as Chief Investment Officer at IFC.
