Event scheduled for Sat. Mar 11, 2023:
- 6:30 PM Doors Open
- 7:00 PM “If The Eyes Could See the Soul” Performance
How the program is designed:
- We spend a lot of time, effort, and resources struggling to see and understand others. We mostly see containers and rarely see their content. How much different would we see others if our eyes could see into the soul? We invite you to join us as we use music, dance, and poetry to explore this important question.
What to expect:
- Complimentary wine, beer, and appetizers are provided.
- A multi-disciplinary program with music, dance, and stories inspired by a variety of cultural and artistic influences, such as bluegrass, klezmer, jazz, classical, and new music.
- Professional percussion, string, and clarinet/saxophone musicians will weave the program through the spoken words by professional writer/poet Lawrence Diggs, as well as the choreography by Angelina Gibson.
The importance the project that the program is a part of:
- This program is part of our “Uplifting Voices of Unity” project, which is dedicated to creating an inspiring, peaceful, fun, and educational experience to foster unity between people with different life experiences. The concept of combining different art forms created by people from different backgrounds and ancestry is an expression of how all of us contribute to the colorful, diverse, and robust American culture of which we are all a part.
