About the video series:
Dance Magazine calls If Cities Could Dance “a stunner” and a “turbo shot of serious inspiration.” In season two, we raise the bar, meeting Minneapolis-based Native American hoop dancers who put a new spin on a art form thousands of years old, and women poppers in Seattle who carve out a safe space for girls in a male-dominated street style scene. Chicago footwork dancers transfer turbulent emotions into lightning-speed steps, and the modern dancers of Miami’s all-female dance troupe slow things down with sensual, sex-positive moves.
Step into the shoes of these dancers and celebrate artists who dare to imagine what it would look like if their city could dance. Don’t miss eight new episodes every Tuesday starting March 26th, featuring performers in Minneapolis, Chicago, Richmond (CA), Memphis, Seattle, Fresno, Oakland and Miami.
