The regional student activities leadership will run five local leadership training events during the fall semester of 2013. The goal of these training sessions is to provide more personalized interaction between the region leadership and the student branch officers than can be provided at the region wide leadership training. Student branch officers should leave these training sessions with a detailed plan of events for the following year that has been reviewed by the region leadership. Student branch officers should also have interacted with officers from other local student branches.

There will be 5 events in total. The current tentative timeline of training events is the following:

Saturday September 7th: Memphis, TN if you register on this webpage, you will register for this event.
Saturday September 28th: Atlanta, GA
Saturday October 12 th: Ft. Lauderdale, FL
Saturday November 9th: Columbia, SC
Saturday TBD: Richmond, VA

Each event will cover the same topics. Please choose the event closest to you.

Note: If we do not have at least 10 registrations by Monday August, 19, (for the Memphis event) we will cancel the event.

There is a $20 registration fee per participant.

Students need to bring:

1) An initial plan of events events for the year (digital and paper copy)
2) An initial budget for the year (digital and paper copy)
3) A list of the student branch officers with contact information for at least two officers and the student branch counselor (digital submission to google form)
4) A list of the student branches goals for the year. This list should have 2 or 3 goals. (paper copy)

Student Travel Reimbursement Policy:

Each student branch may apply for a “travel stipend” if they meet the following requirements:

a) At least two people from the student branch attend the training session
b) The student branch brings all four pieces of required paperwork with them to the training. See above for a list of these four items.
