Title of Talk: Ultra-efficient, ultra-small, silicon power control and protection switches to extend operating time of your wearables, mobile devices, and IOT products.
Speaker: Gene Rutkevich, Director Business Development, GLF Integrated Power, Inc.
Wearable and IoT devices are seeing a sharp rise in demand. Consumers expect smaller devices with more features as well as fewer interruptions and at lower prices. Thus, system designers are challenged to come up with ever more compact, lightweight products that have a longer battery life. This talk addresses the latest available technologies and design practices that can decrease the power consumption and increase the battery life of wearable devices. It also describes the devices that designers need to consider when creating a low-power wearable system.
Gene Rutkevich is a long time expert in sensors and power management ICs. Prior to GLF, he held the position as the Director of Sales for Qualtre Inc., MEMS Inertial Sensing group that was acquired by Panasonic. He also worked at Epson Electronics America Corp. as its Director of Sensing Solution BU, for Sensors, Sensor hubs, IoT modules. Early in his careen, Gene worked as the Marketing Manager for Microcontroller and Power Management BUs for NEC Electronics America Corp. He has a Master in Science degree in M.S. Electrical Engineering (equivalent) - Moscow University of Electronics & Mathematics (MIEM).
