IEA Wind Task 43: Wind Energy Digitalization Meeting 4 (Hybrid)
About this event
International Energy Agency Collaborative Research Task on Wind Energy Digitalization - 4th General Meeting Hybrid online and in person meeting
Meeting:
Digitalization refers to the application of digital technologies and data to transform business models and generate new value-producing opportunities. In the wind energy sector, advances in areas such as data science and the internet of things are set to disrupt the industry at every stage of the asset life cycle.
IEA Wind Task 43 will provide consolidated digitalization insights and recommendations to help practitioners and researchers navigate potential solutions and realize new opportunities. This two day meeting will bring together wind energy and digitalization experts to build on the initial work proposal. We are building broader understanding and engagement via the task activities including:
- Life cycle and use case definitions
- Common Vocabulary
- Data Standards
- Value Analysis
- Workflow aka data process or lifecycle
Goals:
- Disseminate existing work
- Create structured space for in-person/hybrid work
- Check in on Collaborative Actions for alignment and consolidation of existing work
Hybrid Format:
This meeting will be held as a hybrid in person and online event. We are working diligently to make sure that attendees will have a high quality experience in both formats. We are actively looking for volunteers to serve as concierges for both the in person and virtual experiences.
Main Venue and Breakout Rooms:
Plenary session will be held in the auditorium in Building D at Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB). See the map location associated with this invitation for details. Over the course of the two days we will make use of breakout rooms, located at Headquarters at Arsenal, Witte Paterstraat 12, 1040 Etterbeek, Brussels. These rooms are roughly a ten-minute walk from the main auditorium.
