Past speakers have used the adage, "it's not what you know...but who you know”. The Law Enforcement adage as it relates to Identity Theft is, “it’s not what you know, it’s what you don’t know that can hurt you.” This seminar addresses the modern day issues with Identity Theft. Issues to be discussed range from daily habits, US Mail, Telephone solicitation as well as our computerized Society. (I-phones, I-pads, PDR’s, Facebook) Discussion will examine the importance of the risk you must realize when your personal information is on the world-wide internet and can be stolen and used for personal gain from thieves. Several questions should be asked, are you using electronics in your daily lives?  Do you know where your information is stored by the companies/individuals you routinely deal with? Do you know how to protect yourself? Like it or not, there are people who wake up every day devising cleaver ways to separate you from your money, identity and credit rating. Come learn how to protect yourself and your information.
