About this Event

PCSAO, ONCAC, ODYS, and ODPS in partnership with the Greif Fellowship of The Moritz College of Law and the Ohio Human Trafficking Task Force are pleased to provide this upcoming training on “Identifying and Responding to Juvenile Victims of Human Trafficking in Ohio” on January 30th. While this training will  provide basic “human trafficking 101” information, the main focus of will be promising practices for identifying and serving juvenile victims of human trafficking.  These promising practices include the use of a validated screening tool (or a tool adapted from a validated tool), the utilization of Safe Harbor diversion, and care coordination with an MDT (multi-disciplinary team).  Participants will be connected with subject matter experts and resources in their area and across the state to ensure these practices are supported and done correctly.  Participants will also practice real life scenarios and be presented with case examples in order to implement some of these suggested practices during the training.
