Leaders’ Summit Description
Fulfills NICA Coach Licensing Program CEU's for Levels 2 & 3
Saturday 8am - 5pm.
The 1 Day Leaders’ Summit event is designed for brand new coaches interested in starting a team and running that team as a Head Coach or Team Director. Also, the event is designed for returning coaches looking for a refresher on team sustainability and leadership topics. This event provides the opportunity for participants to learn all about the league structure and processes, how to start a mountain bike team, how to work with their schools, issues related to liability, and the unique intricacies of working with middle and high school cyclists. Expect interactive lecture topics in a classroom setting. Class includes continental breakfast, lunch, handouts, resource flash-drive and free SWAG. NICA coaching manuals will be made available at an additional cost.
This one day event will fulfill continuing education unit requirements for NICA Coach Licensing Levels 2-3. Additional prerequisites for NICA Coach Licensing Levels 2-3 can be found on NICA’s Coach Licensing Program page. Please complete the online based “Risk Management” and “NICA Student-Athlete Coaching Philosophy” webinars and tests prior to attending this class. They’re free and can be completed in the comfort of your own home. You do not need to complete the other requirements before attending the Leaders’ Summit.
