About Academic WorldQuest:

Academic WorldQuest (AWQ) is a nationwide World Affairs Councils of America (WACA) youth education program. Now in its 16th year, 1,000's of high school students across the U.S. compete in AWQ contests organized by more than 50 local World Affairs Councils. In Indiana, the Indiana Council on World Affairs, along with the University of Indianapolis, administers the contest.

Teams of four students, plus alternates, along with an academic coach, compete among other Indiana high schools for a chance to win the contest and an expense-paid trip to the national Academic WorldQuest competition on April 28, 2018, hosted in Washington, DC. The trip is funded by the Indiana Council on World Affairs.

The 2018 ICWA AWQ program is coordinated by ICWA Board Member Dr. Milind Thakar, Associate Professor of International Relations at the University of Indianapolis.

ICWA Membership has its privileges. Members receive discounted pricing on the Great Decisions Briefing Book ($20) or DVD ($35) (available for pickup at the event). To become a member, please go to our website here: ICWA Membership
