The International Institute of Energy Systems Integration and the Korea Institute of Energy Research presents a workshop, ICT Enabling Thermal Energy Flexibility in Integrated Energy Systems. The workshop will follow the World Science and Technology Forum, hosted by the Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning of the Republic of Korea on October 19–20, 2015, in Daejeon, Korea.

There is no fee to attend, but participants will need to cover their own transport and accommodation costs. Attendance is limited, so register soon; registration will close October 9th.

Following the iiESI workshop, the CITIES project (http://smart-cities-centre.org/ ) will host a project workshop. CITIES is the largest Danish Research Project aiming at establishing methods and models for ICT solutions for enabling large fractions of fluctuating renewables (like wind and solar power) in integrated energy systems. The 42 partners in CITIES are universities and companies from Denmark, the U.S., Ireland, Austria, Spain, Australia, Germany, and Korea. All are welcome; please contact henrik.madsen@smart-cities-centre.org if you would like to attend.
