Description

Engage in hand-on activities to understand how to teach about global population trends and the effects of human population growth throughout history. Ideal for human geography, global studies, civics, world history, and other secondary social studies subjects, these activities will focus on data analysis, modeling, and group problem‐solving skills in the classroom. All lesson plans are aligned to both national and Iowa state standards.

Teachers will receive:

  • Certificate of completion

  • Access code to an online curriculum containing over 50 ready‐to-go lesson plans, background readings, and case studies.

  • Additional program‐related classroom resources

  • License Renewal Credit (In conjunction with attending the ICSS conference on Monday, September 30th)
